Traktor DJ Mix – Tim Burrell

After rather a busy week of Traktor DJ Mix Submissions, I managed to find this little 30 minute gem from Tim Burrell.

I really like the stripped down tribal sounds mixed up with vocals all tied together with a neat little bow! 😉

I know very little about Tim as his mixcloud profile has no description. All I know is he’s from London and he has good taste in music! (Maybe Tim, you would like to email me a bio of some sort?)

(Edit: Added Tim’s thoughts below April 12th)

Tim Burrell Says:-

I’ve been around since the beginning of house music, and for me the roots lie in the music set down between 1988-1993, from Acid, the early deep house, the great New York Garage vocal tracks of the early 90’s, and the early 90’s progressive sounds. I like to use a few samples here and there from the old tracks, and of course many of them are using samples and re-works of the old stuff anyway. I loved the Balearic style of Dj’ing. I think by having a all these genres of dance music it can box artists and Dj’s in. Great music with a good energy and vibe is what I like.

Check out his sounds below and follow him on MixCloud and Twitter.
